Salary: $75,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant experience may also be accepted.
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst with an emphasis on supporting and enhancing legacy systems.
- Strong analytical skills to grasp complex business processes and functionalities of legacy systems.
- Proficient in SQL and familiar with Jira, with understanding of modern database architecture (triggers, stored procedures, views).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively engaging with stakeholders at various levels.
- Experience in documenting business requirements, constructing user scenarios/stories, and writing functional specifications for legacy systems.
- Knowledgeable in software development methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall, with teamwork experience.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities to troubleshoot and resolve issues within the legacy system.
- Familiarity with quality assurance testing (QA) is a plus.
- Attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with business partners, department staff, and technical teams to comprehend and record necessary corrections and updates for the legacy system.
- Work alongside development teams to provide insights and clarification on legacy system requirements and assist in troubleshooting system issues.
- Facilitate communication and encourage teamwork between business partners and technical teams to ensure effective support and optimization of the legacy system.
- Use SQL to query and evaluate data within the legacy system, diagnosing issues and discovering potential solutions for specific data configurations.
- Aid in prioritizing and managing the backlog of legacy system tasks, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, estimated, and aligned with business objectives.
- Work with testing teams to develop test plans and cases, participating in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate changes and enhancements to the legacy system.
- Monitor the performance and stability of the legacy system, proactively identifying and addressing issues or bottlenecks hindering business operations.
- Provide end-user support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues, to ensure efficient utilization of the legacy system.
- Engage in new systems development as needed, collaborating with the team to analyze business requirements, contribute to system design, and support the deployment of new solutions.
- Keep abreast of relevant industry trends and technologies associated with legacy system support and share insights with the team as needed.
