As a Locum Neonatologist, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on providing high-quality care to newborns. This role is essential in supporting our clients' staffing needs while ensuring excellent patient outcomes. You will have the chance to work closely with experienced professionals and engage in various neonatal care activities, contributing to your professional growth in the field of pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care to neonates in various healthcare settings
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor and manage the health of newborns in critical conditions
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
• Participate in continuing education and training programs
• Engage with families to provide support and education regarding neonatal care
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current medical license in the state of Florida
• Basic understanding of neonatal medicine and pediatric care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred

Schedule: 7a-5p or 5p-7a

No call requirement

75-bed Level IV NICU

Patient Census: 71 per day

Required Procedures: Standard ICU procedures, ECMO

Team Structure: 7 MDs during the day, 1 MD at night, APPs

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
